Mr. Sudip Sarkar

Owner,
Anjali Flooring

The inception of Anjali Flooring happened way back in 1994 by my father and we started with a basic Water Hydraulic Machine producing Roof Tiles and mosaic tiles. Two decades back this part of Kolkata, had pretty good demand of tiles catering to various engineering service and private builders. When paver blocks got introduced in West Bengal around 1998, we made certain modifications in the same machine and started making 40mm and 60mm paver blocks which got a good response from customers. Soon when market and demand grew we bought another semi-automatic machine to manufacture various kinds of pavers.

Me and my brother joined our father in this business during our graduation days learning production, procurement and day-to-day factory responsibilities. From first factory in Howrah to second manufacturing facility in 2011 at Bholpur, we have increased our manufacturing capacity multiple times. However, the turning point came in 2018 when we bought our first Columbia Concrete Block Machine our sales grew manifold and since then there has been no turning back. Like everyone in Precast industry, we also had a dream to buy a Columbia Machine someday. We used to see machine

videos on You Tube and were so impressed with the technology, product quality and the brand, the same impression we carried for more than a decade. Also Columbia products are used in many pilot projects in different PWD road projects, that there was no second thought before buying a Columbia Machine. We are manufacturing kerbstones and paver blocks on SPM20 and easily manufacture 19K single layer rectangular pavers everyday in 8-9 hrs of workshift. Columbia has not just fulfilled our expectations but exceeded much beyond that. We shall go only for Columbia automatic plant whenever we expand our production lines in future.

Columbia introduces a new age Concrete Block Machine SPM20+ for products ranging from 25mm to 250mm

Columbia manufactured the 1st Concrete Block Machine Model 15 in the year 2000 in India. Since then we have rolled out more than 330 Concrete Block plants all over India. Model 15L evolved from Model 15 soon after and later the same was transformed to SPM20. We also added SPM26 and SPM30, higher pallet size models to our range of machines. Based on feedbacks and demands from our customers, we developed modern SPM20 with automatic lubrication system for hassle free lubrication of Vibrator bearings and long life of vibratory assembly.

As a part of Continuous improvement and innovation, Columbia has developed another new Model SPM20+ for a wide variety of products ranging from tiles as low as 25mm and bricks and blocks of 250mm. This will not only increase the versatility of customers product range but will also enhance profitability of his business.

The prototype of SPM20+ will be displayed at the biggest show in Asia, Excon’22 in Bengaluru starting from 17th to 21st May. Columbia invites you all to visit our booth E83 in Hall 1 and witness the newest machine in display.

DID YOU KNOW

  • Purple is known as a “Royal” color because it was the hardest dye to extract and it came from sea snails, so only the royals could afford it. Since only wealthy rulers could afford to buy and wear the color , it became associated with the imperial classes of Rome, Egypt, and Persia. The color purple has been associated with royalty, power and wealth for centuries. In fact, Queen Elizabeth I forbade anyone except close members of the royal family to wear it. Purple's elite status stems from the rarity and cost of the dye originally used to produce it.
